Kitchen Assistant – Nursing Home Location: Rectory House Nursing Home, Sompting Job Type: Permanent, Part Time Salary: £12.71 Hours: 20hrs per week

Our team works together to ensure a clean, safe, and nourishing environment, and we’re currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist in preparation of nutritious meals for residents, following dietary requirements. • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including dishwashing and surface sanitization. • Receive and store deliveries according to food safety guidelines. • Work as part of a team to ensure meals are served promptly and to a high standard. • Keep accurate kitchen records and checklists.
Requirements: • Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role is preferable. • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is a plus). • A caring attitude and ability to work respectfully in a care environment. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team. • Availability to work alternate weekends.

We are always looking for caring and dedicated people to join our team either on a permanent or bank staff basis; and we are currently looking to recruit a Carer to cover both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• To maintain high standards of care and service towards service users, relatives, visitors and other members of staff.
• To deliver care to service users as directed by the service user plan for that individual, reporting changes or concerns to the team leader/coordinator or manager.
• To be proactive in providing a safe, forward-thinking environment to help residents and their visitors to have positive life experiences. • Be familiar with the administrative records of the Home and ensure that all records are kept up to date.
• To follow appropriate procedures in the event of accidents/ emergencies e.g. fire, missing residents.
Requirements:
• A caring attitude and ability to work respectfully in a care environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team.
