Care from the Heart: A Welcome from Our Home Manager Serah Maina
At Rectory House, care isn't just what we do; it is who we are. Nestled in the heart of Sompting, our home is deeply connected to this beautiful community. I arrived in 2021 and was immediately drawn to its warmth, history and genuine spirit, a spirit that makes Rectory House a truly rewarding place to work. I have been a registered nurse since 2006, with a passion for dementia care and compassionate leadership. In 2023, I was honoured to be named regional winner of the Social Care Nurse Award at the Great British Care Awards. More recently, I achieved a distinction in my Level 5 Leadership qualification, furthering my commitment to delivering exceptional care and supporting our wonderful team.
What brings me the greatest joy? Witnessing the positive impact we make every day. Building relationships, celebrating milestones and creating a true sense of belonging for residents and their families.
